6th and 7th GRADE STUDENTS

Please look at your email today to find your registration form that Mrs. Johnson sent to you. This email is how you will register for classes for next school year. It needs to be filled out no later than this Friday, February 4, 2022.

COMMUNITY EDUCATION

Registration is now open for Winter/Spring Programs including many fun new classes and spring leagues. The Winter/Spring brochure is available online on the District Website or go directly to Community Ed Winter Brochure.

The Annual Daddy Daughter Dance will be held at the high school on Saturday, June 4. More details and ticket information will be coming soon.

SWIM & DIVE

Over the weekend, 8 of our BJHS students competed in the State Swim and Dive competition in Battle Creek. Congratulations to 8th grader, Brayden M. for an amazing 6 second personal best in the 100 Breaststroke that earned him MISCA state champ. He was also 8th in the 100 IM. Diver Macy V. finished out her season with a 2nd place finish at the state meet. Avery H. had a 5 second personal best in the 100 Backstroke and tied for 5th place in the state. Lily L. had a personal best in the 50 free and finished 14th. Aaron M. finished 12th in the 100 Breaststroke, and  Andy N. finished 19th in the 50 Fly.
The boys’ 200 Medley relay finished 8th and the 200 Free Relay finished 13th. 

The team represented BJHS very well!

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bedford 8th grade split a doubleheader on Saturday losing to Tecumseh 25-8. Miranda F. and Joslyn M. played well.  Bedford defeated Monroe 21-16 in the second game. Baileigh H. and Emma P. scored 9 second half points a piece. Lucy E. led on defense with 10 steals.


Bedford 7th grade went 1-1 on Saturday beating Jackson 17-4 and losing to Tecumseh 25-16.  Lauren S. and Liela C. played well in the first game.  Leah E. and Jaye B. played well in the second game.

We want to give a Shout Out to the State Qualifiers for BJHS Swim and Dive. They will compete this weekend in Battle Creek against qualifying athletes from across the State. Congrats to Diver Macy V. and Swimmers – Brayden M., Andy N., Aaron M., Lily L., Avery H., Eli K. and Ryan S.!


If you see any of these athletes, wish them well.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Bedford 8th grade defeated Ypsilanti Lincoln 26-3. Cheyenne I. and Kensley P. played well on defense. Emma P. led the way on offense. 

Bedford 7th grade handled the Railsplitters of Ypsilanti Lincoln 36-4.  11 different players scored to lead the balanced offensive attack.  Tara T. and Ava B. also played well.

WRESTLING

Junior High Wrestling practice will start at 4:00PM – 6:00PM Monday – Friday in the JHS Wrestling Room. Practices started on January 4th.

FOOTBALL

Weights began for all football players on Monday January 10. This includes motivated JHS players willing to learn and work hard. SWIM & DIVE TEAM

Congrats to the Swim and Dive team as they won their last regular season meet against, Jackson, Lincoln, and Chelsea last night. Brayden M. won both the 200 Free and 100 Breaststroke. Eli K. and Iva R. were 2nd and 3rd in the 100 Free. Avery H. took silver in both the 100 IM and 100 backstroke. Aaron M. was second in the 100 Breaststroke.
Kudos to 6th grader, Jack A.  as he finished 3rd in diving with his first full dive list. 

Congrats on a successful season!
