2023-2024 SCHEDULING

Current 8th graders:
Your registration information will come from the high school soon!
NEW WHERE’S THE BUS APP
Here is a link to information about the Samsara replacement, Traversa Ride 360:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1tGNz9QLZI6R6SbR83GpSknuL6BJcBQZglGp–61YQZA
(This is also the same as the link on our website for “Where’s the Bus?”)
Key Differences:
Access requires a Student ID #. If anyone doesn’t know it, they are asked to call the school.
That means people need to sign up for their students and can ONLY see their student info. Registration is required to see anything. The entire fleet is not visible even to those registered. However, I could share my student with a babysitter or grandparent but I would control who has access and can revoke their access at any time.
Administrator/building viewing access? That is a Cari question. I am not aware of this capability…I have been working on how to get parents in.
Website is not as functional as the Mobile App. Website does not show the real time map location or update any ETA times. It will show the default schedule stop location and time. If you want to see where the bus is or what its ETA is, you need to use the app and not the website.
ETA timing updates as route progresses. I have VERY limited exposure to the app in action. The one thing I noticed on Friday afternoon was that the ETA time kept updating. It was significantly shorter at first but was continually updated as the bus location changed and the length of time at the completed stops was factored into the remainder of the route.
Push Notifications. The Transportation Department now has the ability to send out push notifications directly to people’s devices. It can be a district wide alert or narrowed down to a specific bus route that may be delayed.
Field Trips will not be included.
