 ✔ NEWS

UNITY DAY

October is National Bullying Prevention Month and our goal here at BJHS is to create a kinder, more inclusive and accepting place for all students and staff. Today is Unity Day –a Nation Wide day where we all unite together and commit to making a positive difference in our schools and community. We encourage everyone to do three kind things each day –say “Hello” to someone new, give a compliment, write a staff member a nice card, help clean up around you –any kind thing can make an impact!

CHROMEBOOKS

Attention Students:

Do not leave your chromebook unattended outside classrooms. You are responsible for the care of the chromebook that is issued to you and insurance will not cover negligence.

Starting today, October 19, 2022, students that leave their chromebooks unattended can pick up their chromebook and their after school PENALTY HALL from Mr. Hurley.

8th HOUR

8th Hour has started in room 214.  8th hour is an opportunity to get work done and get assistance from some teachers.  8th Hour is three days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays) from 2:30PM to 3:30PM.  Students can attend 1, 2, or all 3 days.  Attendance is kept in the room.  Families MUST PROVIDE THEIR OWN RIDE HOME AT 3:30.

We are working on supplying transportation and will let families know when that is available.

If you are having a student make up some assessment, please deliver directly to Amanda Mitchell.

There truly is something for everyone. Check out the brochure for more exciting programs and events for kids of all ages; from art classes to yoga for adults. And if you are looking for something that we don’t offer ~ let us know and we will work to make that happen.

✔  CLUBS

GAME CLUB

Think about the most awesome thing that you have ever done! Now imagine yourself at Game Club, and I am sure that those two events were very similar. Game Club kicks off this week in the media center. You can come by yourself and meet new people or you can bring a friend as well! It is a relaxed environment to make new friends and try out some new games and have fun with the classics too, there are so many options to choose from. A slight correction to the flier game club this week will not be on Thursday, like the posters say, as that is the back to school dance. Instead we will be meeting on Wednesday from 2:30-4. I can’t wait to see you there.

2. For the Username, enter the email address you used for SendMoneyToSchool.com.
