Students – if you are leaving the building early for an appointment, please bring your note to the Main Office first thing in the morning. The office will make a copy of your note – you will show it to your teacher and come to the office to meet your parent. They will not need to come inside to pick you up.

NJHS applications have been emailed out to students. Those who meet the requirements needed to be considered will have it sent to them.  This will be coming from Mr. Hurley.  Please check your email.  If you have questions please see Mrs. Carnicom in Room 223 

UPCOMING TECHNOLOGY EVENTS

March 27-29, 2023

Techathon AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a 3-day camp for students grades 4-11. In this hands-on camp, students will get hands-on learning of Artificial Intelligence tools that use image 

recognition and motion detection to make decisions. Participants will be able to create devices such as ripe fruit sorter, selective door opener, or an attendance device. This event is sponsored by Eastern Michigan University.

Registration for cross country, soccer and t-ball is open. Deadline for registration is April 7 for Soccer and June 2nd for T-ball. Online registration at bedford.ce.eleyo.com

Mom & Son Glow Bowling

This event will be held on May 20th at ForestView Lanes for boys in grade K-5 and their moms, grandmas, aunts, etc. Deadline for tickets is May 10th.

Safety Town, Summer Parks and Summer Latchkey registration will open soon. Look for details in the coming weeks.

Other Non-Affiliated Programs/Events

Young Marines. Join the Monroe County Young Marines for students ages 8 through completion of high school. Learn more at an Informational meeting on March 28, 6:00 pm at the Monroe VFW Post, 400 Jones Ave, Monroe. Recruit training will be held April 29-30. youngmarines.org/unit/monroecounty/page  (flyer attached)

VFW Student Competitions. There are several ways to show your talent and be recognized nationally for your artistic and/or vocal abilities. For more information, contact info@vfwauxiliary.org

  • National Art Contest. For students in grades K-8, enter artwork illustrating America and its beauty. (form attached)
  • National Singing Contest. For students of any age. Record a video of your vocal performance of the Star Spangled Banner, complete the form and send it in.

The Spring/Summer Brochure will be out about March 1st. It lists a lot of fun new programs such as kayaking, sailing for adults, art classes and more. The brochure will be on the District website or go to bedford.ce.eleyo.com.

Other programs are also available – check them out at the Community Ed tab on the District website.

Random Acts of Kindness has started in Room #25. Consider joining us if you have some creative and fun ideas on how to spread some kindness around our school and community! “RAK” Club will meet every other Wednesday until 3:30PM, so be sure you have a ride home. See flyers around the school for dates and email or see Ms. O’Neill in the counseling office if you have any questions.

GAME CLUB

Think about the most awesome thing that you have ever done! Now imagine yourself at Game Club, and I am sure that those two events were very similar. You can come by yourself and meet new people or you can bring a friend as well! It is a relaxed environment to make new friends and try out some new games and have fun with the classics too, there are so many options to choose from.

Remember to charge your Chromebook at night. If something is wrong with your Charger or Chromebook, please bring it to the Media Center and enter a ticket.

CHROMEBOOKS

Do not leave your chromebook unattended outside classrooms. You are responsible for the care of the chromebook that is issued to you and insurance will not cover negligence. Students that leave their chromebooks unattended can pick up their chromebook and their after school PENALTY HALL from Mr. Hurley.

EARLY DROP OFF

Students must remain in the cafe until 7AM if they are getting dropped off early.

HALL PASSES

All students must carry an approved pass from an administrator or teacher to be in the halls during class time.  This applies to student council members, yearbook students, students with early dismissal, and any student who finds it necessary to enter the halls during class time.

HALLWAYS/CLASSROOMS

Only water is allowed in classrooms. Pop, colored drinks, etc. are not allowed.

Students should not have these types of drinks in the halls either; please toss them if they can’t be closed again or close them and put them in your lockers.

Only water is allowed in classrooms. Pop, colored drinks, etc. are not allowed.

Students should not have these types of drinks in the halls either; please toss them if they can’t be closed again or close them and put them in your lockers.

March 27-29, 2023

Techathon AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a 3-day camp for students grades 4-11. In this hands-on camp, students will get hands-on learning of Artificial Intelligence tools that use image 

recognition and motion detection to make decisions. Participants will be able to create devices such as ripe fruit sorter, selective door opener, or an attendance device. This event is sponsored by Eastern Michigan University.

Registration for cross country, soccer and t-ball is open. Deadline for registration is April 7 for Soccer and June 2nd for T-ball. Online registration at bedford.ce.eleyo.com

Mom & Son Glow Bowling

This event will be held on May 20th at ForestView Lanes for boys in grade K-5 and their moms, grandmas, aunts, etc. Deadline for tickets is May 10th.

Safety Town, Summer Parks and Summer Latchkey registration will open soon. Look for details in the coming weeks.

The Spring/Summer Brochure will be out about March 1st. It lists a lot of fun new programs such as kayaking, sailing for adults, art classes and more. The brochure will be on the District website or go to bedford.ce.eleyo.com.

Consider joining us if you have some creative and fun ideas on how to spread some kindness around our school and community! “RAK” Club will meet every other Wednesday until 3:30PM, so be sure you have a ride home. See flyers around the school for dates and email or see Ms. O’Neill in the counseling office if you have any questions.

Think about the most awesome thing that you have ever done! Now imagine yourself at Game Club, and I am sure that those two events were very similar. You can come by yourself and meet new people or you can bring a friend as well! It is a relaxed environment to make new friends and try out some new games and have fun with the classics too, there are so many options to choose from.

Students – if you are leaving the building early for an appointment, please bring your note to the Main Office first thing in the morning. The office will make a copy of your note – you will show it to your teacher and come to the office to meet your parent. They will not need to come inside to pick you up.

Girls Get-IT Day at Wayne County Community College

This interactive field trip is designed specifically for girls in grades 4-8 and provides a unique opportunity to learn about the latest technologies and tech concepts in a hands-on environment. 

You will also get to experience being on the campus of Wayne County Community College.

Techathon AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a 3-day camp for students grades 4-11. In this hands-on camp, students will get hands-on learning of Artificial Intelligence tools that use image 

recognition and motion detection to make decisions. Participants will be able to create devices such as ripe fruit sorter, selective door opener, or an attendance device. This event is sponsored by Eastern Michigan University.

Spring Leagues

Registration for cross country, soccer and t-ball is open. Deadline for registration is April 7 for Soccer and June 2nd for T-ball. Online registration at bedford.ce.eleyo.com

Mom & Son Glow Bowling

This event will be held on May 20th at ForestView Lanes for boys in grade K-5 and their moms, grandmas, aunts, etc. Deadline for tickets is May 10th.

Safety Town, Summer Parks and Summer Latchkey registration will open soon. Look for details in the coming weeks.

The Spring/Summer Brochure will be out about March 1st. It lists a lot of fun new programs such as kayaking, sailing for adults, art classes and more. The brochure will be on the District website or go to bedford.ce.eleyo.com.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS CLUB

Random Acts of Kindness has started in Room #25. Consider joining us if you have some creative and fun ideas on how to spread some kindness around our school and community! “RAK” Club will meet every other Wednesday until 3:30PM, so be sure you have a ride home. See flyers around the school for dates and email or see Ms. O’Neill in the counseling office if you have any questions.

GAME CLUB

Think about the most awesome thing that you have ever done! Now imagine yourself at Game Club, and I am sure that those two events were very similar. You can come by yourself and meet new people or you can bring a friend as well! It is a relaxed environment to make new friends and try out some new games and have fun with the classics too, there are so many options to choose from.

CHROMEBOOK/CHARGERS

Remember to charge your Chromebook at night. If something is wrong with your Charger or Chromebook, please bring it to the Media Center and enter a ticket.

CHROMEBOOKS

Do not leave your chromebook unattended outside classrooms. You are responsible for the care of the chromebook that is issued to you and insurance will not cover negligence. Students that leave their chromebooks unattended can pick up their chromebook and their after school PENALTY HALL from Mr. Hurley.

EARLY DROP OFF

Students must remain in the cafe until 7AM if they are getting dropped off early.

HALL PASSES

All students must carry an approved pass from an administrator or teacher to be in the halls during class time.  This applies to student council members, yearbook students, students with early dismissal, and any student who finds it necessary to enter the halls during class time.

HALLWAYS/CLASSROOMS

Only water is allowed in classrooms. Pop, colored drinks, etc. are not allowed.

Students should not have these types of drinks in the halls either; please toss them if they can’t be closed again or close them and put them in your lockers.

LOCKERS

Please make sure your bookbags are all the way in your lockers before you close them. We have had numerous jams.
