Summer In Bedford

Community Education offers several opportunities throughout the summer; from Swim Lessons, and Tennis Camp to Driver’s Education and more. Look for more listings through the summer. Check it out and register online at bedford.ce.eleyo.com.

Check out the fall line up – Driver’s Ed classes, cross country, soccer, and a special Father-Son event and more. Registration will open in August for these programs and more.

Any 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the girls golf team in the fall, you or parents should send an email to coach Reed (brad.reed@mybedford.us ) and he will send you information for summer workouts and more details.

Tryouts will begin August 8th.

REMINDERS TO STUDENTS✔ 

STUDENTS

  • Please do not wear earbuds as you exit the building, there may be emergency instructions that you need to hear, especially if there are buses coming in late. Earbuds can affect your safety if you cannot hear. 
  • Please make sure you fill out help desk tickets before bringing chromebooks to the media center.  
  • If you are being dropped off early in the morning, please make sure you stay in the Cafe until 7AM.  Please do not walk around in the halls before 7AM.
  • You must have your Chromebooks charged each night, ready for school the next day. We have lots of students coming to school unprepared with their most utilized tool here. If you can remember to charge your phone, you can remember to charge your Chromebook. Students who come with dead Chromebooks will not be allowed loaners or to use chargers in the classrooms.
  • Please be sure to use the one way directions in the halls for passing time. We are getting clogged up, especially C Hall due to students not want to follow directions.

LACROSSE

Want to learn more about Bedford Lacrosse Association’s You Lacrosse program (7th/8th grade)? Interested 6th & 7th grade boys* please join us for Lacrosse Preview Day. Meet the current BLA U14 Team! Come ready to play! Bring a Lacrosse stick if you have one, if not, one will be provided. (please note – girls lacrosse league begins in 9th grade)

Girls basketball open gym  Friday June 3rd. 2:45 PM – 4:15 PM and Monday June 6th  5:00 PM -6:30 PM. 

All incoming 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend.

7/8 FOOTBALL MEETING 

Meeting Schedule:
Monday June 6: Grades 7-8, 7pm HS competitive gym, player and one parent/guardian
Wednesday June 8: Grade 9, OPEN HOUSE 7pm HS competitive gym, player and one parent/guardian

Physicals:
The MHSAA requires a sports physical each year. These physicals must be dated after April 15, 2022.
PHYSICALS MUST BE UPLOADED IN FINAL FORMS

THERE ARE NO SUMMER ACTIVITIES FOR JHS FOOTBALL – JHS FOOTBALL CONDITIONING AND PRACTICE WILL RESUME IN AUGUST

TENNIS

8th grade boys interested in high school tennis this fall: There will be an informational meeting at the Tennis Courts at 2:45PM on Tuesday, June 7th with Coach Cukierski.

VOLLEYBALL

There will be an important meeting for girls (incoming 9th grade) planning to try out for High School volleyball this fall. The meeting is for athletes and a parent, if possible, and will be held today, June 6 from 6-7 PM in the high school auxiliary gym. If you are unable to attend please have a friend get the information for you. Conditioning will begin Monday, June 13, from 8:30 – 10:30 AM and you will get a schulde at the meeting.
