 ✔  NEWS

During the course of the past two weeks, our 7th 7 8th grade musicians in Band & Choir participated in District Festivals. For this event, each ensemble was required to perform several prepared pieces they have rehearsed since January. All groups were also required to sigtread & perform a piece of music they had never seen before, with just a few minutes to prepare. The groups are then given a rating on a scale from one to five, with one being the best possible rating, Our results were as follows:

  • 7th Grade Band: Rating of 2 Overall
  • 7th Grade Choir: Rating of 1 Overall (This qualifies them for State Festivals)
  • 8th Grade Band: Rating of 2 Overall
  • 8th Grade Choir: Rating of 2 Overall

Congratulations to all of our students musicians on a job well done after their months of intense preparation.

Over the weekend the 7th Grade Orchestra received straight ones from each judge! The 8th Grade Orchestra received an overall 1 rating! Both groups played very well & up to their potential.
